Editorial Office GAIA

Martina Blum

Born 1964 in Munich (Germany), studied history in Munich and Tübingen. She holds a PhD from the Technische Universität München (TUM). She worked as research associate at the former Department of the History of Technology, TUM, was managing editor of the German journal Technikgeschichte and exhibit review editor for the American journal Technology & Culture.

Since 2012, she has been working for GAIA – Ecological Perspectives for Science and Society as subject editor in the Research section.

Almut Jödicke

Born 1971 in Ruit (Germany), studied environmental sciences at ETH Zurich. After her studies she worked as a research assistant in the Human Ecology group of the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag), Dübendorf, Switzerland. Her PhD thesis, written at the Laboratory for Technical Chemistry, Safety and Environmental Technology Group (ETH Zurich), deals with life-cycle impact assessment of textile finishing and use.

Since 1999, she has been working for GAIA – Ecological Perspectives for Science and Society as subject editor in the Research section.

Tobias Mickler Born 1975 in Halle/Westfalen (Germany), studied environmental sciences in Lüneburg, Germany and Canterbury, England. He worked as a public relations officer for WPR Communication, Berlin, and as a research assistant at the Institute for Futures Studies and Technology Assessment (IZT), Berlin.

Since 2009, he has been working for GAIA - Ecological Perspectives for Science and Society as managing editor.

Ulrike Sehy

Born 1970 in Zweibrücken (Germany), studied physical geography and soil science at the University of Trier and the University of Winnipeg, Canada. She worked as a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Soil Ecology of the Helmholtz Zentrum München and obtained a PhD degree from the Technische Universität München.

In 2002, she joined oekom verlag as managing editor of GAIA – Ecological Perspectives for Science and Society. Since 2011, she has been head of the journals department at oekom verlag.
